This is the beginning! Episode 01 of The Hawea Grove series is out…
This has been a dream in the making for a few years now. The goal of this series to document our journey into eco building, from the perspective of a consumer with little experience in the construction industry.
Episode 01 introduces the location and land that the Grove is set on, Minimal Design – the architectural designers we chose to work with – and the man with the plan, Keith.
It also gives a sneak preview at some of the concept plans for the main house, which will utilise a series of environmentally-focused materials.
The Series
The objective is to showcase the twists and turns of creating and managing a sustainable, eco-focused building project, and to help promote the products and practices of the partnering suppliers.

We’ll be publishing more about the design process and our concept plans as things progress, and on the lead up to Episode 02.
We have a total of 20 episodes planned in 2020, taking viewers from the vacant land beginnings right through to the completion of the house (which is just phase one, we can’t tell you about phase two just yet).
